This song is based out of Ezekiel 16 and Song of Solomon. In Ezekiel you have a baby that has been aborted my her mother (she represents Israel in the story) that is rescued by a man who cleans her up, clothes her in the finest linens and jewelry, and claims her as His wife. This parallels the Shulamite woman in Song of Solomon who declares that though the sun had darkened her skin, making her less fair than the other maidens, her beauty still prevailed. That idea mingled with Ezekiel 16 was such a beautiful picture to me, and I as continued writing this song, it spiraled into an epic picture of the Bride of Christ declaring her connection to her beloved, Christ.
